Thriving Indicators

Thriving Conversations

Thriving conversations are designed to stimulate youth self-reflection and dialogue about thriving with a caring adult. Through a series of questions tied to each indicator, the meaning of the indicator becomes clear. Youth identify indicator strengths they have developed and future skills to grow.

The conversation questions are by grade-level, from 5th-12th grades. They are available in print or on-line (partners only).

Caring adults can prepare themselves for a thriving conversation by reading the research summary of an indicator and reviewing Indicator Conversation Tips. Forms are available to help the adult track overall youth perception of their status.
